Edwards-Rigdon was founded in January of 1995 by Tom Edwards and Jeff Rigdon. Each had over twenty years of experience behind him and by combining that experience with their integrity and knowledge, they initiated the endeavor to start a construction company that would leave a positive mark on everyone who came in contact with it - and they have succeeded.
In the early days, Tom and Jeff ran the company and also performed the roles of the only two Project Managers. Monica Edwards came on board to keep the books and answer the phones, with some experience in both. Today, Edwards-Rigdon has five Project Managers, a Bookkeeper, an Office Manager/Secretary, a contracted IT Manager, and between eight and ten full-time and contract Superintendents at any given time.
In that first tenuous year, Edwards-Rigdon only contracted 13 projects - but they were 13 very important projects to Edwards-Rigdon, and we remain in sincere gratitude to those who helped the company get started. Today, Edwards-Rigdon has contracted over 450 projects, an average of 48 per year since the inaugural year - every one being as important, and successful, as the next.
Edwards-Rigdon looks toward a bright future, continuing with our dedicated employees as well as those 'diamonds in the rough' that we have yet to discover. Construction will always remain an exciting adventure for those working at Edwards-Rigdon, and we hope to pass that excitement on to those for whom we work.
